A Clear Pathway from First Swing to the Fairway

We've designed our junior program as a natural progression. A pathway that takes young golfers from their very first lesson through to playing confidently alongside our members in 9-hole and full 18-hole competitions.

Junior Clinics with Paul Stratford

Our junior clinics are led by our teaching professional Paul Stratford, a PGA professional with over 25 years of experience and a passion for developing junior golfers. Paul knows junior golf inside out, having raised two sons who have gone on to become elite level golfers themselves. He brings that same dedication, patience, and expertise to every junior at MGC.

 

Our clinics run each school term and cater to two levels so whether your child is brand new to the game or already developing their skills, there's a program for them.

Beginner Junior Clinic

A fun, relaxed introduction to golf for young players with little or no experience. Paul covers the fundamentals, grip, stance, swing, and the basics of the game, in a supportive, encouraging environment where juniors learn at their own pace. All equipment is provided.

​

Advanced Junior Clinic

For juniors who have completed the beginner program or already have some experience, the advanced clinic focuses on developing technique, course management, and the skills needed to play confidently on the course.

​

Both clinics run during school terms and are kept to small group sizes to ensure every junior gets quality time with Paul.

Junior Membership - Just $95

We're passionate about growing the game at grassroots level, which is why our junior membership is priced at just $95 per year  covering the Golf Australia affiliation fee and nothing more. We want to make golf as accessible as possible for young people in our community.

Junior membership is open to all players under 18 and includes:

• Official Golf Australia registration and handicap

• Access to practice facilities

• Participation in junior competitions and club events

• Access to our junior pathway program

Weekly Junior Competition - Sponsored By Choices Flooring Maroochydore

We're excited to announce that our weekly junior competition is now up and running! Every Friday from 4pm, our juniors take on a 3-hole competition - the perfect format for young golfers who are ready to test their skills on the course in a fun, low-pressure competitive environment.

​

The competition is open to any junior who is competent enough to play 3 holes of golf so if your child has completed a beginner clinic or already has some course experience, this is a fantastic next step.

​

This competition will be a key part of the junior pathway, giving young players the confidence and course experience they need to step up to 9-hole and full 18-hole competitions alongside our adult members.
